I found this will form book very useful to produce a complete will. You don't have to answer online questions. There are forms for various marital and children and domestic partnership circumstances. Also, it has the special language for each state's requirements because they vary and make a great deal of difference in whether the settlement of the property will be easy or hard on the executor. If you are more or less used to doing documents, I recommend this book over the Q and A of DIY online will websites. You can download the forms and special state-by-state language, or, if you are not online, you can type it all in. The wills are short unless you need a trust for children.
Since I purchased this for a friend, I had to wait to actually review it until she gave me her feedback. Apparently, this book contained everything she needed even though she is not creating her own will. She had many questions she didn't even know she would need to ask her attorney until she read the book so she is very pleased with the content.
Like most Nolo books, this promises to address the most common cases simply and clearly, while highlighting the ways your case may *not* be simple. You will come away from reading this book quickly and with a very superficial understanding of probate -- but having completed your will! You will *not* come away with a list of 16 more questions than when you started, and feeling like you need to talk to a lawyer (unless, of course, your case is not simple -- but most are).
if you have a simple will (spouse only, no kids - or single) this books explains wills to you, and also provides downloadable forms so you can write your own will using their template. Cannot beat it for the price. No reason to pay a lawyer if you just need a simple will!!
Had all the information and forms my mother needed to get through the maze of paper work.Worth the money, more important worth the read.
Very useful information in understanding the process of probate. Mentions things that one usually doesn't think about. In short, gives you "worse case senerios" to help you when attempting to decide how to prepare a Will using the forms provided or arming youself with information should you have an attorney draw up the documents for you. Easy to read.
My husband and I had been putting off writing a will because we weren't sure how exactly to do it. Did we need to hire a lawyer? What would make it legal? Who should have copies of the will? This book answered all of those questions and so much more. We just needed a basic will so this book was perfect for us. If you need something beyond a basic will then this may not be the right book for you. Thoroughout the book the author identifies different situations where this book may not be the right resource for you. I think for most people it is all they need. The book also has a CD with will templates which are perfect.
This book has a CD-ROM with it that has the basic will forms and they take a lot of the stress out of making a will. Explanations are really well done in my opinion and there is a lot of information in one place, which is a relief after becoming so confused with the wildly conflicting information one can find on the Internet.
